Dear diary,
The day of our exhibition was sheer pressure. Everywhere people were or plastering or writing! The floor was white with powder and every one was LOUD. When I arrived I looked around and thought Oh! I have got to start painting my box! But, what I was really supposed to be doing, was writing my reflection. It was even on the whiteboard… Although no one noticed it!
I painted one side of my box a light green and walking around trying to find a blue. I found one ran back to my desk, walked around trying to find some white, found it, ran back to my desk, poured the white and blue into my paint palette . Then the chime rang. Ms. Chown said that the time for painting was over. We would not be able to paint or plaster unless we were in dire need of it (eg we had missed some school). We had to finish it at recess or lunch. Dang it! I thought. I didn’t even get to start! I was so frustrated, but I followed what Ms. Chown said anyways.
In a couple hours the whole class had worked through their recess and lunch. They had finished painting their boxes or animals and were packing some of them in Mrs. Lancaster’s car!
While we were walking to YBR, my feet (which were in high heels) started to hurt. I complained to my friend Sophia, “ My feet hurt so ba-a-ad!”
She nodded in agreement, “I agree.”
We arrived at YBR and I was overjoyed! All the tables were set up, my mom was there, and parents were already looking around! All WE had to do, was set up our boards and animal models (with our boxes of course)! Now we were ready to start our exhibition.
Just before we started, the wind picked up. It knocked over most of the boards that we had set up. Ethan and Sara’s board even shattered on the ground. Just before we started.
Other than that, our exhibition was AWESOME! Everyone who came was blown away by our animal models and our book. Room 15 went home proud that day, and so did Ms. Chown and Ms. Lancaster.
Love,
Nora
