"I learned that you have to put in a lot of detail."
"There are many steps to one drawing."
"Try your hardest and not give up."
"Look really carefully to see all the details."
"I learned to focus."

We also felt that it was interesting that we learned new things about our eyes that we didn't notice before. We discovered some parts of our eyes that we really liked. After all, if you "Look closely, you might be surprised how it really looks."
After that, we started problem solving in math. We worked in pairs to solve problems and used a variety of ways to solve the problem. These included working out the operation, drawing a chart or a picture, using real objects and trial and error. For the first problem that we did, most people found it easier to draw a picture to help solve it. On the second problem, we found that trial and error worked well. It was also important to underline the key information in the problem so we knew what we had to do. Most people found the questions hard to begin with but it seemed clearer when we drew the pictures. Below are the problems - can you solve them?
A really important part of the day was when we discussed commenting on this blog. Ms. Chown had checked the stats and found out that 600 people from all over the world had read the blog so we needed to make sure that we showed our best selves. Ms. Chown is going to write a separate blog post about this because it is so important.
