Today in math we started by reading numbers in words and writing them in figures. Then we did number differences between two numbers like 15932 to 26979 the answer is 11047.
Two people learned about decimals. First they used a math dictionary to research decimals and then they filled in a poster about what they know, what they want to know and what they learned about decimals. Other people will be working on this next week.

Today of math we continued our work on place value. We had to compare numbers of place value. First we used place value boards where we could flip over pages to show different numbers. Next we worked on a piece of paper. The paper had 3 sections and you had to make your original numbers and then make your own addition and subtractions by changing the digits. Like say I wrote 35,273 so you had to change one number or two like this 35,484 and then we had to equation showing the change like this plus 200 plus 10 plus 1. Or you could just say plus 211.
