"Yes! Today we are doing a scavenger hunt, I can’t wait until our free time is over because scavenger hunts are fun." I thought to myself. Once our free time was over my class gathered around the campfire (well of course camp fire was not running because it was still day time). So, my teacher started talking about the scavenger hunt. She said: "For the scavenger hunt we will use walkie talkies and we will partner up with a different group to use walkie talkies. |
The first section was find and sketch. In the find and sketch you had to sketch three different objects the first one was…..
- Find two different shaped leaves and sketch them.
Next you had to sketch a pine cone. The pine cones were really tricky too because the pine cones where not really like the pine cones that you find at your at your house. These pine cones were unusually spiky so you had to carry them very carefully - they hurt when you put your finger on the spiky part!
Then you had to find a insect and draw the insect but the insects were hiding so it was really hard. Luckily for me, a fly landed on a piece of tree bark so I memorized it really quickly, drew it and moved on to the next section.
The next part involved taking pictures of different things. The first one was find the place that was most peaceful so leila and I thought that the wooden poles would be a peaceful place because you can practice your balancing. The wooden poles are logs that are shaped into cylinders.
The place that was most exciting was next. Leila and I thought for a few minutes then, ding, Leila had an idea! It was a big exciting log well you might think that this log was boring but it wasn't it was really fun because it was like a boat. The next one was make a piece of art out of nature. Leila and I found a rock that was shaped like a heart then we put the on a log that was flat then we found three pine cones we put two beside the rock and one on top of the rock then |
Then our second to last section was all about listening and looking. The first challenge was to sit with your eyes closed and write down everything you heard after your partner counted to sixty one time. I started writing when my eyes were closed so I wouldn't forget. Then Leila started walking on the log so she could hear everything more clearly. Next you had to walk around without talking and write done everything that you thought in your mind. I thought and wrote done everything I thought of I thought of singing, PE (PE means physical education), dogs, and dancing.
The last section of the scavenger hunt was speaking. In speaking you had to:
- whisper a secret to a tree - well, I can't tell you my secret because its a secret but its a funny one.
