Mythological Adventurers
Odysseus was a Ancient Greek adventurer who had to leave his beloved home (Ithaca) in order to support another king who was going into battle in Troy. Unfortunately, on his way home, he angered Poseidon (the god of the sea), so his journey home involved many adventures.
In order to fully understand Odysseus's story, we used drama, art, music and writing in role. This helped us to empathize with the characters, to see different points of view and to find evidence for our opinions in the text. We also conducted research to find out more about the world of the Ancient Greeks - especially the gods. Check out our first ever google presentation (right) to see what we learned. Blog Posts |
