At morning meeting we shared our favorite books. Only three people share books a day.
Today Ms. Chown, Ava, Olivia, and Anjolie shared. They shared Baby Brains by Simon James (Ms. Chown), The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter (Ava), Revolution is not a Dinner Party by Ying Chang Compestine (Olivia), and Super Fudge by Judy Blume (Anjolie).

In math we tried logic problems. There were four sheets with one question each. The first one was called Colored Shapes and we had seven minutes to solve it. The next was called Neighbors and we had four minutes to solve it.
The third and fourth were called Three Monkeys and Card Tricks, they were optional in case we solved Colored Shapes and Neighbors.

For a story we read The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka. It was narrated by the wolf and it was his version of the Three Little Pigs the wolf claims he had a bad cold and sneezed down the houses and was only looking for a cup of sugar for his granny’s birthday cake.
The wolf only ate the pigs because “it seem like a shame to leave a perfectly good ham dinner lying there in the straw” ‘ Think of it as a big cheese burger just lying there.”

Ms. Chown gave us three stickies and told to go on a gallery
walk to see each others first draft self portraits and comment on our top three.
Some comments were: “I like the details on your eye”, “I like the dots on your
nose”, “I love how you made your ear so big so you can see it”,and “I like the
texture on your lips”. You can see the comments on “The website project”
bulletin board inside our class.

Today we got our second grade buddies and had buddies for the first time this year. Our buddies were in room six, with Ms. Manguil’s class. The fourth graders had a sheet of interview questions and the second graders had little interview “robot” sheets and we interviewed each other to learn about each other.
