I arrived at Dewey ten minutes early so I helped unload the pillows and the people who arrived at the same time as I did helped me place them on the table. Then I saw more people get there and then more people but I realized that like half of the class was still not there! Finally I saw Ms. Chown walk in with the rest of the class but it was ten minutes late and the exhibition was about to start.
Then we had a Room 15 meeting (real quick) and then we went and sat down with our pillows, speeches and letters. We were ready to start.
Group 1 went first to say their speech, then group 2 and group 3. Arrrrgh! At last my group went up (group 4). Delanie said her speech then it was me. I was shaking when I said it. Here is what I said.
"Each stitch is made of love and hope I hope that you absolutely love your pillow. I feel proud but a bit nervous giving it to you."
Then it was time to give our pillows. I looked and looked but she wasn't there I was really sad. However, later on I heard about how much my buddy loved my pillow.
It was time to go home and there were a lot of vegetables left over from an earlier event. Ms.Kelsey said we could take them home so we walked out with onions, oranges and cauliflower!
And thats the story of the Operation Story Cushion adventure I had on may 19th.
