On Friday, December the sixth room 11 and 15 learned a new way to practice our multiplication facts. Ms.Chown (room 15’s teacher) first showed us how to use the multiplication cards, then we got into partners and practiced our 10’s in multiplication and division. First we put the math cards in number order, then our partner called out the equations then we had to answer the equations right every time or else our partner would keep on calling it out until you got the equation right.
Then once we got all of the equations right we mixed up the math cards and tried our best to answer the math cards right,we also did the same with division, then we switched off. Then after we finished all of the multiplication and division math cards we got a timer to time us and our goal was to get under 45 seconds. We all did very well on how many seconds we got. It was a very fun way to try and memorize our tens in multiplication and division facts.
