Hello my dear pet masters, I didn’t know that it was Friday until my cage was lifted high up off the ground. The girl carrying me joined the flow of kids streaming to the doors and a man and a boy joined her. My cage was handed to the man. She said something in what I think was gibberish and went to get her backpack. While the girl was packing up, I looked at the boy. He was about level with me. His wavy hair was brown and, like most humans, it was only on his head (if you ask me, being covered with fur is much better). |
When morning came, I climbed into bed, but not before I saw the girl, and she was reading! So I went to bed . . . some time later I was awoken by a pair of hands picking me up. They were not the girl’s hands! Then, I realized that I knew these hands! These hands belonged to the person who had brought me to room 15!!!! After being carried around, I was set back into my cage and, naturally, fell asleep again. I think that I slept through whatever was going on, because the next time I woke up, they were gone. Now that the excitement was gone, I felt that I could reward myself with even more sleep.
That night I had a terrible dream . . . there was a terrible cat chasing around . . . I could even smell it! I woke up and my nightmare was true . . . except for the chasing. A cat’s face was staring at me with curiosity in its eyes. I burrowed underneath the covers, hoping that I was just imagining things . . . and fell asleep . . . again. When I woke up (again), the cat was gone, but the girl and her brother had made a huge cardboard playground and it was for me. I had a great time playing with them and got some yummy fresh treats. After playing, I was ready for another nap and woke at night after everyone was asleep – I hoped. I snuck out of my cage and quickly ran to the computer and typed this message to Ms. Chown to post on the class blog. If I’m not back on Monday, then the cats weren’t out of the porch like they were the night before – send help!
See you soon (hopefully),
