Come on dad, I’ve been waiting here for ever so long, I thought. We finally got in the car and left. There was a lot of traffic, but we made it school on time.
There I was standing in the doorway, ready to start my day. RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE, OH NO! People started trampling through the doorway, I was going to be squished. I speed walked for my life. I (SAFELY) made it to Room 15, now I was ready to start my day. The public relations team had more work to do than any other team, and I was on it.
A few hours later, after preparing for the exhibition and getting back from lunch and recess and putting on our costumes, we were on our way to YBR (AKA Yellow Book Road.)
First we started setting up. We got the fireplace into place, then we set up chairs and picnic blankets for friends, family and other people to sit on. Finally we told people to “Go sit on the blankets or chairs at 1:45.” After everyone was sitting, we read our extracts, I had butterflies in my stomach but when I read my extract I felt pretty confident and believed in myself.
A few minutes later I started asking people if I could show them around, (I asked three people and I got to say they were amazed by our work.)
After the exhibition was over I went to Cold Stone and saw Annia, her dad, and her brother Sergio.
That night I read my family my story. When I went to bed I said to myself that the kids in Ms. Chown's class next year will work hard like us. They will think they won't get everything done on time, but they will and they will have a fantastic exhibition!
