Ale and ethan's Experience
Last Thursday Room 15 went rock climbing. When we arrived we were so excited to climb. We were so happy our minds almost exploded. We put our gear on and started climbing. We started on the small rock then we went to the huge rock. It was still really hard. I can't imagine the view on the top of the rock climbing wall. Our favorite part was getting to the top of wall. After lots of rock climbing we walked on the tightrope (you can read Addison and Halle's blog post to find out more about this. After the tightrope, we wrote about rock climbing. And then went back to school. Our field work helped us to learn how to improve our rock climbing skills. However, it also helped us learn some really important things that will help us with everything that we do. We learned how to persevere and never, ever give up. Finally, we learned to help our friends. After Solid Rock, Ms Chown did the ice bucket challenge. P.S. Best day ever! By Ale and Ethan |
Emily and Leila's experience
Slip, slip, slip! My hands were sweating from all that climbing. We were taking a field trip to Solid Rock, a climbing gym. We needed a harness a rope and a carabiner. If you wanted to bring your own climbing shoes and chalk, you could. We climbed big and small rocks. We also climbed hard ones like the over hang. We learned that some things look really easy but are really hard and some things look really hard are actually pretty easy! It was really fun. There are different colors to show you the level of difficulty for your climb. Here are the easy colors:
