During our exhibition in January, we raised money to help Words Alive. Words Alive is an organization that helps children learn how to read. To raise money, we made a donation box. I was part of the fundraising team where we talked to Ms. Christina from Words Alive. At our exhibition we and Ms. Christina talked to visitors to our exhibition about what Words Alive do and why we were supporting them. On Thursday, January 29, Ms. Theresa from Words Alive came to our class when we were in PE. When we came back, we asked her questions about what Words Alive do. She said she worked in an organization that helps people read. We gave her a big check that was from the exhibition. We had made a big check for the presentation. The real check wasn't big but the amount was. We had raised $320 for Words Alive. I really liked working to help raise money for the organization and I hope I can do it again someday. By Nick |
