When I got in every one was doing something to get ready for the exhibition. The whiteboard had no schedule on it so I was a bit confused soon we went up the stairs to give out flyers. I had never gone up the stairs before so it was really cool. after we got back from upstairs we started working straight away. It seemed the more we worked the messier the room became!
Soon we left for Yellow Book Road to get ready for the exhibition. Once the exhibition started we read extracts from our stories. This is the extract from my story that I read to our audience:
Suddenly two evil purple eyes emerged from the vortex! We tried to escape but the door was gone. We were trapped.
I was a bit nervous, but I still said the extract. After I said it, I felt pleased that everyone knew more about my story.
After that, I was on the bookstore team so we were in charge of selling the books. The bookstore team had four members: Leila, Kyle, Paloma and me. We started selling books around the middle of the exhibition and we ended selling at the end of exhibition. A lot of people wanted books. We sold books in two mini teams: Kyle and Paloma sold books at the front of the counter and Leila and I sold books at one of the sides of the counter. Since we were on the side of the counter we didn't get much activity.
We sold all the books at the exhibition. Most of us left at the end of exhibition because their parents were there. I used to have no sales experience but now I have sales experience because of the exhibition. At the end of the day I felt successful because we sold all the books at the exhibition.
When I am older, I will always remember how it felt to be able to sell the first book. It felt really, really good.
