“Question 3? No...” I thought as I walked to another envelope. I read, “no thats not it”. I searched all over the room. I could not find it. A really hard case for private eye Seth...
Now I totally know what you are thinking. I'll explain. So we were going into the classroom and I was tardy because of a dentist appointment so I didn't know anything about what the class was doing. Then Mrs.Chown explained. There were envelopes all over the room with math challenges in them. You had to find them and pull a math sheet out of them. But they all had numbers on them. So one envelope was labeled Guess My Number 2 or 3 or 1 and so on until 5. You glued the math papers on some construction paper and you solved them with your friend.
As you can see I was looking for number 1. I couldn't find it. So I picked Guess my number 2 and I read. It said:
I solved another then another and another. They were all really fun! I think I like this activity! It was fun because of how you had to find the envelopes then you had to do the math problem. Solving the math problem helped us to improve with place value but also with lots of other types of math - because it asked us to do so many things. Both of us (Seth and Anelisa) think that the activity was really fun. Anelisa thinks that she learned that math could be really fun sometimes!

- My number has 3 digits
- The units digit is 72 less than 81
- the hundreds digit is an odd number which is bigger than 1 but smaller than four.
- the tens digit is the same as 5+4.
I solved another then another and another. They were all really fun! I think I like this activity! It was fun because of how you had to find the envelopes then you had to do the math problem.
