On Friday, Room 15 went to San Diego State University to learn which category of Social Sciences our project, Just Playing? falls into. We interviewed professors and gathered information. My dad (Dr. Schellenberg) was very helpful because he organised the whole thing! He is a professor and an Associate Dean, so he asked some of his fellow professors to let us interview them. We interviewed two people, one in the morning, and one after lunch.

- *What makes a good research question?
- *What is action research?
- *What do we need to do to conduct action research ethically?
- *How do academic researchers share their research

- I’m a Science Educator.
- I was a teacher and then a biologist and I kind of brought the two together and so now I am a Science Educator.
- Understanding how people think!
- A good question is one that you’re interested in.
Professor Beck’s Answers:
- I’m a Sociologist
- I took lots of classes, I went to school for a while, and then became a Sociologist.
- The most interesting thing is figuring out why people take some things like t.v. or a stapler for granted.
- A good question is one that’s clear, understandable, and interesting!
- It can be observational research or participant research. It depends on the question.
- You need to protect participants privacy and safety. You need their permission and, this is very important, you can’t lie at all!!!
- We have conferences with other people, we go on the radio, theTV, articles and documentaries. Sometimes we even write books!
