Crush! went the rocks that my foot stepped on. We were hiking to Stonewall Peak on the trail. The trail was slippery and up hill. As we walked towards Stonewall Peak we took some breaks and some water breaks. We were up so high we were up 1,950ft in twelve minutes. after a lot of hiking me and my friends started to trip on the rocks. We got a little bit of scratches from the rocks. We kept on hiking. I could hear people stomping and blowing their whistles and I could hear their cameras going click for a photo. On the trail I could see burnt white trees, fallen trees and I could see a clear blue lake in the distance. I could spot Stonewall Peak. We were almost there.I blasted into excitement every step I took I stared at Stonewall Peak. I thought one more step until I step on the stone wall. I was there finally. I was so happy. There was a higher spot of Stonewall Peak. It was amazing. Our science teacher saw crows defending their babies against predators. After that we went to school. But this will not be my last adventure. It may be the last adventure of this project but I will go on many more adventures (in fact, I will even hike up Stonewall Peak again). However, this was an adventure to remember. By Ale |

I like how you described what you heard. I also encouraged myself by saying ; One more step, just one more step. Good work!!
