We were all standing in front of the warm toasty fire all snug in our warm jackets stuffing s'mores in our mouths. “Time for our night hike!” Ms. Chown yelled. Almost everyone groaned. I snuck another graham cracker to go. We walked for a while then our science teacher said “Turn your flash lights off and look at the sky.” I don’t know why she said that but OK. I looked at the sky. There were millions of white, orange and yellow dots surrounded by the navy blue sky which looked like a black sky. |
Our science teacher broke the silence by saying “Look at the stars now”. I guessed the silence was over. It was too bad, I thought, I liked the silence I was hearing great sounds. But “wow! I can see the milky way!” I yelled.
My favorite part was looking at the stars because there were billions of them together and they look so pretty together.
